Year: To work with the Superintendent
to use school improvement planning process and leadership
development to improve all schools, to work to improve
attendance at the secondary level, to continue to work with Step
Up Springfield in an effort to focus on proficiency for all
students and to continue to work on the development of the
elementary report card |

(through assessment of MCAS scores) and giving them what they
need (through reinforcement, tutoring, mentoring) in order to

a quality education and it is important that all educational
leaders--parents, administrators, teachers and community
members--share in the responsibility of providing children with
opportunities to engage in consequential learning endeavors that
will prepare them to make a positive difference in this world
while enjoying fulfilling life experiences.

2003-2004 School Year:
As an
educational leader, I will continue to strive to improve the
educational environment and successes of our students. I intend
to campaign for the rights of our “under represented” youth to
receive the respect and the kind of instruction that will
eliminate the so-called “achievement gap” that exists between
African-American and White students. |

percentage of students that score at the proficient and advanced
levels on the MCAS test and to continue to provide a safe,
