I SAW YOUR
PROFILE…
By
Rhonda Swan
In the June
1, 2003 issue of POV, I had the pleasure of reviewing Rhonda Swan’s
first release, speaking my mind . . . in poetic verse. At that time, she said she was working on
her first novel. And true to her word,
this Springfield native, who now lives in Delaware, was back in Springfield
this past July for her second book signing.
I admit that I have absolutely no
credentials qualifying me as a literary critic. I simply love to read and, although I tend to be stuck on spy
novels, I will read anything as long as the story keeps me turning the pages
and this story definitely did! I Saw
Your Profile is a humorous tale about Internet dating told through the
experiences of three women that includes all of the ingredients of a day-time
soap opera: love, sex, betrayal, murder
and the age-old search for Mr. Right.

I asked Rhonda how she came up with this
particular story line and she admitted
that about three years ago when she first moved, she put her profile online in
order to meet people and learn about the area.
She said, “A lot of the stuff in the book actually happened and everyone
knows someone who has a story to tell about Internet dating.”
Sometimes hilariously funny, sometimes unbelievably sad and sometimes undeniably real, Rhonda has a knack for transporting the reader from scene to scene, character to character and story to story effortlessly and without forcing any details. As I got to the last chapters, I honestly didn’t know how the story would end and I love that about a book. So if you are looking for a new summer title, look no further! n
