Dear Ricky and Margie:

Greetings and wishing you a Good New Year.... I look forward each month for your paper.  It is very news worthy and gives me an idea of people, places and some old and new activities and happenings in the Afro-American population--kind of a pulse of the community.  Having spent 41 years living, working, sharing and contributing in some small way to help enhance the lives of others for future generations, it is heart warming to see your generation, like you, Margie, Ben Swan and others I know carrying the torch.

I especially enjoyed reading the article about the two young women's careers at STCC (POV January 1, 2006) as that was my last place of employment.  I resigned and moved back to Texas.  Enclosed is an article you might find interesting.

Oh, yes, that article about your grandfather, why not put it in a book for a motivational resource.  Truly, that kind of wisdom is needed today.

Thanks again for everything and I hope you and Margie continue to keep your feet around the table where the decisions are made that impact our future.

Sincerely,

(Mrs.) Jewell Hodges
