I read with interest the January 2007 edition of Point of View. I write to debate your article (The Way I See It), in which you list your choices for the greatest basketball players ever.

Although I cannot argue that your selections are “near” accurate, I find it hard to understand how you could forget to mention Elgin Baylor anywhere in your article.

Whenever I get into a discussion of the greatest basketball players of all time, I list seven (7) in no particular order. They are:

Wilt Chamberlain

Bill Russell

Elgin Baylor

Oscar Robertson

Magic Johnson

Michael Jordan

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

If I were pressed to rank them, I would probably rank in the order above.
