CIRCULATION
HISTORY
(P0INT OF VIEW OPENED FOR BUSINESS ON
JANUARY 1, 2003 AND CIRCULATED ITS FIRST ISSUE ON MARCH 1, 2003)
2003
FIRST YEAR PLAN:
Point of View opened
for the first year as a quarterly newspaper with a plan to distribute 22,500 including
5,000 copies for each of the first three quarters and 7,500 copies for the
final quarter.
FIRST YEAR ACTUAL: Point of View met its first year plan.
2004
SECOND YEAR PLAN: As originally planned Point of View became a bi-monthly newspaper in its second year, in which the plan was to circulate 45,000 copies for the year at 7,500 for each of the 6 months.
SECOND YEAR ACTUAL: Point of View came close to its goal of 45,000. Based upon take back numbers, the decision
was made to cut back circulation to 6000 a month and gradually increase to
10,000 in the last month, which was accomplished. Our actual total circulation for the year was approximately
43,000.
2005 (To Date)
THIRD YEAR PLAN: As
originally planned, Point of View became a monthly newspaper in its third
year. The circulation plan for the
third year of our five year plan was to maintain circulation at 10,000 a month
for the twelve months for a total annual distribution of 120,000.
THIRD YEAR ACTUAL: Point of View revised its circulation goals down for the
third year based upon our experiences in the first two. We planned to circulate 10,000 a month but
reduced that number to 7,500 a month and plan to gradually increase it to about
8,500 by the end of the year. We
estimate that our annual circulation will be approximately 96,000.
