UNITED PERSONNEL CELEBRATES THEIR 30 YEARS IN BUSINESS BY DONATING $30,000 BACK TO THE COMM

SPRINGFIELD, MA (February 26, 2015) In celebration of United Personnel’s 30th anniversary of providing human resources and staffing support throughout Western MA, the company has contributed $30,000 to local organizations in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire Counties which support initiatives related to United Personnel’s business priorities as well as overall community support and development. These priorities included: advancing call center support, precision machining program through the TWO program, support for girls’ leadership, the STEM program and the Teacher Housing Initiative.
Donations included: Springfield Technical Community College, Berkshire Community College Foundation, Ascentria Refugee and Immigrant Services, Girls Inc. of Holyoke, Women’s Fund LIPPI Program, Teach for America, Develop Springfield, and Friends of the Homeless. The donation to Girls Inc. of Holyoke, Women’s Fund LIPPI Program and Ascentria Refugee and Immigrant Services illustrates United Personnel’s strong effort to cultivate opportunities for women and minorities. United Personnel’s funding efforts assist programs such as Teach for America, Berkshire Community College Foundation and the Precision Machining and Call Center Training programs administered through the TWO collaboration between Springfield Technical Community College, Holyoke Community College and the Regional Employment Board, ensure a chance for students to achieve their dreams and gain workforce skills. Local nonprofits such as Develop Springfield and Friends of the Homeless were presented with some philanthropic benefit to help improve the Springfield community.

We are pleased to make these donations to support important initiatives which make our region a better place in which to live and work.”
