Indian Orchard Citizens Council

‘It is said that a city’s Neighborhood Councils and Civic Associations, serve as the ‘eyes and ears’ of a community’ said Zaida Govan, President of the Indian Orchard Citizens Council.   ‘We need the input of interested residents that are focused on preserving and enhancing ‘Quality of Life’ Issues in our city’, Govan added.

The Indian Orchard Citizens Council is looking for neighborhood residents that are interested in serving on the Council. Requirements are: a passion to help your community, and the availability to participate in meetings and other Council activities. The IOCC is looking specifically for 3 At-large members, 2 from precinct C and G.

One of the At-large members should be a business owner in the Orchard to represent the business community. Elections are generally held in the Spring, but since the IOCC has a number of vacancies and have promised the city that we would work to get them filled, we are asking for letters of interest.

Please send your letter expressing your interest in being on the IOCC to P. O. Box 51593 Indian Orchard MA 01151 or come to our next Council meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, which will be October 11th at 7 pm.  We meet at 117 Main Street in Indian Orchard. We look forward to having you on our board.  Come out and show interest in your community.
